Trisha Brush, GISP, Deputy Director GIS Administration
Trisha has fourteen years of experience in GIS. Trisha previously worked for Miami County, Kansas where she was their GIS Coordinator for five years and built their GIS from the ground up. She has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Cincinnati in Geography, and a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Baker University in Kansas. Trisha is a member of Kansas Association of Mappers (KAMP), Kentucky Association of Professional Surveyors (KAPS), URISA, and she also is Past President and founder of the Kentucky Association of Mapping Professionals (KAMP).
Tom East, GISP, Senior GIS Specialist
Tom has been with LINK-GIS/NKAPC for 21 years and has a total of 34 years of experience in the field of GIS. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Mississippi State University and began his GIS career with the US Army Corps of Engineers at the Waterways Experiment Station in Vicksburg, MS, where some of the pioneering work in satellite remote sensing of the environment occurred. Tom has also worked for the State of Mississippi as the Systems Manager for MARIS, the Mississippi Automated Resource Information System, one of the earliest statewide GIS programs in the nation. Since 1990 he has worked at LINK-GIS/NKAPC and applies his knowledge of GIS to the challenges of government at the local level. He is an enthusiastic amateur astronomer and volunteers at the Cincinnati Observatory Center, the Birthplace of American Astronomy.
Christy Powell, GISP, Senior GIS Specialist
Christy has been in the GIS field for over sixteen years and with LINK-GIS/NKAPC for the past fourteen years. Christy primary responsibilities are programming and web development. Christy holds a Master of Science in Geosciences with an emphasis on Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing from Murray State University. She is also Immediate Past President of the Kentucky Association of Mapping Professionals (KAMP).
Kyle Snyder, GISP, Principal GIS Specialist
Kyle has worked in the GIS field since 1996; mostly with the Northern Kentucky Area Planning Commission, as well as the Clermont County Auditors Office (Ohio) and the Tongass National Forest in Sitka, Alaska. Kyle has served as the president of the Kentucky Association of Mapping Professionals and the IKO (Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio) Chapter of GITA (Geospatial and Information Technologies Association). Kyle has a Bachelor of Arts In Geography from Miami University.
Ryan Kent, GISP, Principal GIS Specialist
Ryan has been on the staff of LINK-GIS/NKAPC for seven years. Ryan’s expertise is in brownfields, custom mapping, and SDE database management. He helped bring about the Kenton County Brownfield’s Inventory. Ryan has a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Northern Kentucky University. He is also a member of Kentucky Association of Mapping Professionals (KAMP).
Joe Busemeyer, GISP, Principal GIS Specialist
Joe has worked in the GIS field since 2004. Joe’s primary responsibilites with LINK-GIS/NKAPC include customizing ArcMAP, programming web applications, and custom mapping. Joe also works with city administrators and emergency management administrators in Northern Kentucky to meet their GIS needs. Joe previously worked for FMSM Engineers, Inc. (now Stantec) where he developed Digital Flood Insurance Rate Maps (DFIRMs), for FEMA among other various projects. Joe earned his Master of Arts in Geography, from the University of Cincinnati. Joe is a member of the Kentucky Association of Mapping Professionals (KAMP) and serves on the Publication Committee. Joe is currently serving as Chair of the LINK-GIS Technical Committee. Joe was also Chair of the Cincy Area GIS User Group in 2010.
Kathy Stephens, GISP, Associate GIS Specialist
Kathy has been on the staff of LINK-GIS/NKAPC for eight years and in the CAD/GIS industry for nearly eleven years. Kathy specializes in custom mapping and the creation of map books. Kathy is also responsible for creating/converting data from various sources. Kathy earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography and a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Technology from the Northern Kentucky University. Kathy is a member of URISA, Kentucky Association of Mapping Professionals and The Geological Society of America.
Gretchen Boyce, Associate GIS Specialist
Gretchen has been with NKAPC for twelve years. She is responsible for customer service, custom mapping and digital file organization. Gretchen is a student at Northern Kentucky University. She is currently a Senior in the Criminal Justice program, and interested in Crime Mapping and Analysis. Gretchen is a member of the Kentucky Association of Mapping Professionals (KAMP).
