Map Layers – Turning On and Off
- In the LINK-GIS Map Viewer, hover on the Globe in the gray box titled LINK-GIS. When hovering over it reads “Map Information.”
- In the drop down menu click on the “Map Layers” tool. A widget will open on the right side of the screen that is titled “Map Layers.”
- The “Map Layers” widget contains an accordion style menu containing data categories for Kenton/Campbell County, Pendleton County, Geology, Economic Development and Plats.
- Within each category, there are parent Themes (i.e. “CC_KC_Theme”) and within each Theme there are several map layers to choose from. To turn a layer on, make sure the check the box next to the map layer is checked. Also, make sure the check box next to the parent Theme is also checked. Check and uncheck the check boxes by clicking on them. If a layer’s check box and parent Theme check box are checked, then the layer will turn on, on the Map Viewer.
- To turn off a map layer, uncheck the check box next to the map layer or uncheck the check box next to the parent Theme of the map layer.
- To minimize the widget, click on the green arrow in the top right of the widget.
- To close the widget, click the ‘x’ in the top right corner.
