Print Maps
- In the LINK-GIS Map Viewer, click on the “Print” button or hover on the Globe in the gray box titled LINK-GIS. When hovering over it reads “Map Information.”
- In the drop down menu click on the “Print Map” tool. A widget will open on the right side of the screen that is titled “Print Map.” Also, a red box with transparent green fill will appear on the main map viewer. This red box represents the area of the map that will be printed.
- If needed, drag the map in any direction to move the print area.
- Once the print area is established, give the print map a titled then press the “Create Map” button. This will generate the print map and may take a few moments.
- Once the map is done generating, click on “View Paper Map” to open the print map with Adobe Acrobat Reader. * Please Note: the Pop-up Blocker will need to be turned off for Adobe Acrobat Reader to open and view the print map.
- If your computer does not have Adobe Acrobat Reader, then click on the link “(Requires free Adobe@ Acrobat Reader)” to download the free software. Follow the install directions given by Adobe Installer. Then follow directions 1 thru 5. * Please Note: Installing the Adobe Acrobat Reader will prompt you to restart your computer, thus losing the location of the print map area currently selected. Please create a bookmark of the area so it can be found again after restarting the computer. Go to the Bookmarks help page if assistance is required for creating bookmarks.
- Once the “Paper Map” print preview is open, go to the “File” drop down menu and select “Print” and follow the printer options and print the document.
- To minimize the widget, click on the green arrow in the top right of the widget.
- To close the widget, click the ‘x’ in the top right corner.
