Drive Times

  1. In the My Community Map Viewer, hover on the blue cube in the gray box titled My Community. When hovering over it reads “Tools.”
  2. In the drop down menu click on the “Drive Times” tool. A widget will open on the right side of the screen that is titled “Drive Times.”
  3. Enter a full address in the box where it says Location Address; i.e. 2332 Royal Dr, Ft Mitchell, KY, 41017
  4. The drive time will start from this address.
  5. Next to ‘Drive Times (min)’, select the number of minutes for the drive times from the location that was entered.
  6. Each number will be displayed as a colored buffer on the map showing the range for the drive times. 
  7. The user can also create just one or two buffers by giving one or two of the minute values “0”
  8. The drive times range from 0-15 minutes. 
  9. Click Show Service Area and the drive times buffers will be shown on the map.   
  10. To clear the addresses in the box, click on the Clear button at the bottom of the widget. 
  11. To minimize the widget, click on the green arrow in the top right of the widget. 
  12. To close the widget, click the ‘x’ in the top right corner.  This will turn the Drive Time buffers off in the map.  Opening the widget back up will re-draw the buffers from the current session, unless the user presses the Clear button or ends the My Community Viewer session.
