Find My Neighbors

  1. In the My Community Map Viewer, hover on the blue cube in the gray box titled LINK-GIS. When hovering over it reads “Tools.”
  2. In the drop down menu click on the “Find My Neighbors” tool. A widget will open on the right side of the screen that is titled “Find My Neighbors.”
  3. There are two different search options.
  4. The first option is “Search by Parcel ID.” Click on the “Search by Parcel ID” icon in the upper right hand corner of the Find My Neighbors widget. Type the Parcel ID in the “PIDN” text box and click the Locate button.
  5. The PIDN, Address and Owner information for the entered address will be displayed in the widget.
  6. Hovering over the selected property in the widget results in a flashing icon to appear on the map, showing the location of the property, along with information about the property.
  7. Click on the selected property in the widget to have the map to zoom to the selected property.
  8. To find out information about the surrounding parcels, type in the distance in feet for the buffer (max is 1,000’), under the Find Info button.
  9. Click the Find Info button and a line depicting the buffer will appear on the map and any parcels that fall within the buffer will be highlighted. The information of any highlighted parcels will display in the widget.
  10. Hovering over the adjacent properties information in the widget will display the property information for the parcel on the map. 
  11. Clicking on the adjacent property information in the widget will center the map on the parcel. 
  12. The adjacent property information can be saved as a .csv file, by clicking on the “Save Results (.csv)” tab at the top of the property information in the widget.
  13. The second way to search for property information is by an address. This option is chosen by clicking on the Mailbox icon on the upper right hand corner of the Property Information widget. Type in an address, i.e. 2330-32 ROYAL DR, into the text box provided within the Property Information widget, next to the word “Address:”. 
  14. Click the “Submit” button once the desired address is entered. 
  15. The PIDN, Address and Owner for the entered address will be displayed in the widget.

  23. To return to the original property information for the located parcel, click on the “Located Parcel/Addresses” button in the top right of the widget.
  24. To view the adjacent property information for the located parcel click on the “Parcels within search buffer” icon in the top right of the widget. 
  25. To minimize the widget click on the green arrow icon in the top right of the widget. 
  26. To close the widget, click the “x” in the top right corner.  This will turn off the selected property on the map.  Opening the widget again will display the property from the current session on the map, unless the user presses the Clear button or ends the My Community Viewer session.
